South Beach

We've been here a couple of days now and we're enjoying South Beach. We managed to get burnt on Saturday even though there wasn't really any sun at all. The water is gorgeous, nice and warm - a change to Folkestone :o). The architecture is fun; most buildings are candy coloured, even the lifeguard huts. We strolled down Ocean Drive in the evening and saw the Versace mansion (which I recognised from all those pictures when Gianni Versace was shot) and passed the expensive restaurants.

Yesterday we went to the Holocaust memorial which was, well, interesting and moving. It was a bit further than we had realised though and we were exhausted by the time we got back. We spent the afternoon on the beach.

Today we took the bus downtown and got on a free 'metromover' which gives good views over Miami. We're at the library now. We'll go to the beach again this afternoon.

That's about it. Not much to write as we're being pretty lazy!
